Abstract Road is the second album by John Pascarelli. This collection of mostly instrumental songs explores a collision of styles: Jazz, Rock, folk, yet sounds like none of these. The title song with it's angular piano, guitar and vibes noodling together sets the statement for the rest of the album. With it's Sitar like scribbles and violin "A Fairy's Tale" takes you on a journey to Story book land. "I Got The Blues" is a fun song that belies it's title as chopped up distorted Trumpet, and clarinet lines burst in and out at you. There's over 70 minutes of music and 20 songs on "Abstract Road". It is an album that will certainly take you on a musical journey to another place.
